Introducing our simulation and prediction technologies at ESI User's Forum Japan 2022

<799 KB>

Archem Inc. is pleased to announce that it presented its prediction technology and development examples using simulation at the ESI User's Forum Japan 2022, hosted by ESI Japan Co., Ltd., held on November 25th. By proposing and providing optimal material configurations for customers' seat structure designs, we strive to contribute to reducing the number of prototypes and design time required.

[Case study details]

Case 1: Use in predicting "vibration transmissibility," an index of ride comfort
seat pad * The vibrations (bumps, bumps, thuds, and thuds) input to the human body from the vehicle are visualized and controlled to provide a comfortable ride. A combination of various models and calculations is required to predict the vibration transmissibility, which is a design index, and one of these is the static behavior analysis simulation of urethane foam, which is being carried out.

Case 2: In-mold molding behavior analysis
Seat pads are manufactured by foaming and molding liquid urethane inside a mold. Controlling this molding is key to manufacturing, but it is difficult to directly observe the behavior that occurs during this process. Therefore, we use simulation to visualize the molding behavior. Here we have introduced an overview of the simulation and an example of using it to examine manufacturing conditions.

*Seat pads are urethane cushioning materials built into car seats.
