Launch of "D-sleep Eco," a sleep product that is both environmentally friendly and provides a comfortable sleep
Archem Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Global CEO: Satoru Kusano; hereinafter referred to as "our company"), a manufacturer and seller of urethane products, will launch"D-sleep Eco" on its website from June 5, 2024. This is the company's first product to use a plant-based material derived from palm trees, and is environmentally friendly while providing the same usability as existing products*1.
The newly released "D-sleep Eco" is a new product in the "D-sleep" series, designed to be placed on top of your existing mattress. It is our first product to utilize a plant-based material derived from coconut. While there are few plant-based industrial products on the market, by incorporating coconut-derived polyols during manufacturing, we have reduced the actual CO2 emissions from production to incineration, contributing to a carbon-neutral society. Simply by placing this product on top, you can achieve both environmental friendliness and a comfortable sleep.
In recent years, interest in environmental friendliness and carbon neutrality has been growing around the world, and as a urethane manufacturer, we are also actively working on this issue, and are considering using this plant-based material in a variety of products in the future. We will continue to conduct research and development in the pursuit of customer comfort and to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society.
