A "sustainable sponge" made from coconut-derived materials,
a space-saving, compressible type is now available for storage.
Archem Inc. (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director and Global CEO: Satoru Kusano; hereinafter referred to as "our company"), a manufacturer and seller of urethane products, has added a new product in compressed packaging to its "Sustainable Sponge" series, which uses plant-based materials derived from palm trees. The new product will be available on their website from Wednesday, June 4th.

■New product features
・Compressed packaging with space-saving design for convenient stocking and carrying
The new product is compressed and packaged to be about one-sixth the thickness of the conventional product, with a space-saving design of just 5mm. It is convenient for stocking and carrying, and can also be used as a small gift. Another attractive feature is that after opening, it returns to its original size, so it feels just like the conventional product.

・In addition to the off-white of the existing product, a new color black/gray has been added.
・Adopting our first palm-derived plant-based material
・Approximately 70 years* of technology have achieved the same usability as petroleum-derived kitchen sponges.
