Since becoming independent in 2022, Archem is currently in an exciting phase of "second founding," a time when we are redefining the very structure of our organization. Armed with urethane technology honed over 70 years since our predecessor's inception, and our unique production and sales system, we are now moving forward on a path to new growth.
At our core is our mission: "To challenge the possibilities of chemical materials and create unforgettable comfort." Having created "comfort" in all corners of the world, from automobiles to bedding and precision instrument parts, we are now continuing our challenge to elevate sustainability to a pillar of our business through industry-government-academia collaboration on recycling technologies and the utilization of plant-derived raw materials. This is not merely social contribution, but a rational management strategy that imagines the near future and anticipates essential needs. We are confident that this accumulation of efforts will form the foundation for unwavering business continuity.
As a global CEO, what I value most in management is the "effortless and natural" approach: not forcibly going against the flow, but discerning the essence and steadily moving forward. Unnatural force or excessive overreaching will inevitably create a backlash somewhere. I believe that looking at ourselves as we are and aiming for steady development is a virtue that Japanese companies have cherished for many years.
Furthermore, as a company, we strive for optimal performance across all organizational functions, aiming for a balanced state in every aspect. While each function—development, sales, and corporate—operates independently, they work closely together from a company-wide perspective, converging towards a single objective. We believe that such a well-controlled and cohesive organization is the ideal form, one that is both efficient and capable of maximizing its potential.
