Joined the company in 2022
Please tell me about your previous work experience.
I joined Archem Business Japan Ltd. in 2022 as a mid-career hire and was assigned to Sales Section 1, Sales Department 1, Industrial Business Division 1. In 2024, I transferred to Sales Section 1, Sales Department 2, Industrial Business Division 1, and am currently involved in sales operations.

Please tell me about your current responsibilities.
In the sales department, I have been responsible for a wide range of clients, including consumer manufacturers, building material manufacturers, and construction-related manufacturers. I strive to carefully listen to our clients' problems and product selling points, and make proposals that meet their needs. My main duties include proposing new product launches and adjusting production to increase sales of existing products. Currently, due to a departmental transfer, I am responsible for a bedding manufacturer, and I am using the experience and knowledge I have cultivated so far to carry out my daily work while being mindful of sales conditions and market trends.
Are there any memorable experiences from your work so far?
The project that I was able to bring to market for the first time since joining the company is particularly memorable. This project took about a year, and I worked closely with many partner companies, including processing companies and film manufacturers, to bring the product to fruition. Every week, I visited our clients to conduct thorough interviews, and I deepened my knowledge by making suggestions myself so that I could accurately convey the information to the factory. The experience of involving so many stakeholders and bringing a product to fruition has given me a great sense of accomplishment and confidence.

What's the atmosphere and interpersonal relationships like at your workplace?
We have a flat, open workplace where it's easy to express your opinions regardless of position or age. Information sharing and collaboration across departments are active, and we flexibly incorporate good ideas to create a better workplace.
What do you feel are the essential or important elements required for your current job?
What I consider most important is the ability to think flexibly. Because customer requests are diverse, being able to approach challenges and needs from multiple perspectives, without being bound by preconceived notions, leads to the best possible solutions.

What are the attractive aspects of Archem Business Japan?
One of our company's strengths is the environment that makes it easy for anyone to take on challenges. For example, if you want to propose a new product to a customer, you can quickly move through the process of proposing a new material to the development department, discussing suitable processing methods with the factory, and then presenting the completed prototype to the customer. This is a strength that can only be achieved because Archem Group has a system in place to handle everything from development to sales, and I feel it is a major attraction of our company.
