Job introductions

Manufacturing

Car seats, bedding, household goods, nursing care products—among the things we use casually in our daily lives,
Many polyurethane products manufactured by Archem Business Japan are used in these products. Manufacturing staff are the main players on the front lines, creating these products.
This job involves taking pride in being involved in the entire process, from raw material input to molding, processing, quality inspection, and packaging.

Business content

Creating quality with skilled hands.

The job of a manufacturing professional involves handling the entire process from receiving raw materials, shaping the product, and delivering it to the customer. While the term "manufacturing" is used broadly, the process itself is diverse.
At Archem Business Japan, we manufacture products spanning the business areas of sheet pads and industrial chemicals, and the products and processes handled vary from factory to factory. What is common to all our factories is our commitment to "never compromising on quality" and a workplace culture of working together as a team to achieve goals.
Here, you can find work that gives you the satisfaction of knowing that products you've worked on are being used all over Japan and around the world.

Preparation of raw materials and ingredients

We manage the receiving, storage, and distribution of urethane raw materials and auxiliary materials necessary for manufacturing. Ensuring the appropriate quantity and quality is the first step towards a stable production line.

Foaming and molding

Based on the blended raw materials, a large piece of polyurethane is manufactured. While operating the machinery, the process and procedures defined for each product are executed precisely, but since these constantly change depending on the environment, skilled techniques are required.

processing

The process involves various steps, such as cutting large sheets of urethane, slicing them, and making them into thin, long strips. A familiar example is the filling used in automotive parts seats. Because we can process materials to suit customer needs, the possibilities in our processing technology are endless.

Quality inspection

We inspect manufactured products to ensure they meet specified quality standards. We check various inspection items specific to each product, such as dimensions, appearance, and hardness, to guarantee quality.

Packing and shipping preparation

We properly package products that have passed inspection and prepare them for shipment. We are responsible for the final stage of the process until the product reaches the customer.

Employees in work clothes inspect manufacturing equipment.

Working style

In manufacturing settings, work arrangements vary depending on the factory/office and the specific process assigned. Some positions involve day shifts only, while others require shift work. When determining your placement, we will take your preferences and living environment into consideration. If you have any concerns before joining the company, please feel free to contact our recruitment team.

Relatively little overtime

While it varies depending on production volume, overtime is relatively infrequent, making it easy to balance work and personal life.

Effective use of weekday daytime hours

If you have free time on weekdays after a night shift, you can effectively use that time to visit government offices or hospitals, or to pursue your hobbies.

  2. Production line started operation

We conduct process rounds and equipment inspections. We check products and implement quality control measures to ensure that products are consistently completed.

The rewards of this job

  • The feeling of knowing that something you created is being used in society.

Polyurethane products are used in all aspects of daily life, including automobiles, home appliances, bedding, and nursing care products. It's a job where you can feel pride in manufacturing when you realize that the products you helped create are being used in the world.

  • The sense of accomplishment from maintaining quality as a team

The manufacturing line operates as a team, not individually. When we work together with our colleagues to achieve today's production targets, and when we pass quality inspections and deliver products to our customers, we experience a sense of unity and accomplishment as a team.
