Please tell me about your previous work experience.

I joined Bridgestone Plant Engineering Co., Ltd. as a new graduate in 2003 and was assigned to the manufacturing department. After gaining experience as a skilled worker in the manufacturing process, I transferred to the office staff in 2009 and have been involved in general administrative duties.

Please tell me about your current responsibilities.

I joined a Bridgestone group company as a field technician, and later transferred to Bridgestone Chemitech Co., Ltd. (now Archem Business Japan Ltd.). After a while, I moved from the manufacturing floor to an office staff position, and currently I am in charge of general affairs at the Hofu Plant. Specifically, I am responsible for a wide range of roles, including administrative work such as general affairs, labor relations, accounting, and purchasing, as well as responding to inquiries from employees. I feel a sense of responsibility and fulfillment in supporting the operation of the plant through work in various fields, and I steadily build upon each task.

Are there any memorable experiences from your work so far?

When I first transferred from the manufacturing floor to the office staff, I had almost no experience using computers, and everything was new to me. I was struggling just to keep up with my daily tasks. I also remember the period when I experienced two pregnancies and my environment changed drastically, such as balancing work and childcare. There were times when I had to take time off work because my children were hospitalized, but my family at home and my colleagues at work supported me. I still cherish the experience of being helped by the warm support of those around me.

What's the atmosphere and interpersonal relationships like at your workplace?

Our company has a diverse workforce, including locals and those who have relocated, making it easy to interact with each other both at work and in daily life. I feel that there is an open and communicative atmosphere where people can confidently express their opinions, even if they have different viewpoints.

What do you feel are the essential or important elements required for your current job?

What's important is the ability to identify problems and analyze them. To consistently deliver good products, it's essential to quickly notice small defects or anomalies, identify their causes, and address them. This also leads to reduced workload and improved efficiency.

I first realized the appeal of cars when I drove long distances on my own after getting my driver's license. At the Hofu factory, we produce car seats, supporting a comfortable ride. It's a job where I feel great pride knowing that the products I've worked on become part of cars and support people's comfortable mobility. I would love to work with people who want to help others through manufacturing.
