Please tell me about your previous work experience.

I joined Bridgestone Chemicals Co., Ltd. as a new graduate in 2017 and was assigned to the Operations Department at the Mie Plant. After working in production management and purchasing for industrial chemical products, I transferred to the Operations Department at the Tosu Plant in 2020. Currently, I am in charge of production management and purchasing for seat pads.

Please tell me about your current responsibilities.

Currently, I am responsible for all aspects of supporting the Tosu Plant from the back office, including production planning for automotive seat pads, ordering and managing raw materials, creating various documents, and handling monthly tasks. My role goes beyond simply scheduling; I communicate daily with the manufacturing, engineering, and sales departments, as well as external suppliers, to ensure the entire plant runs as smoothly as possible. I feel a great sense of responsibility and fulfillment in supporting stable production through collaboration with numerous stakeholders.

Are there any memorable experiences from your work so far?

The most memorable experience for me was launching mass production of an unprecedented new vehicle model. The new design involved splitting the seat, which was previously a single piece, significantly increasing the number of parts and making process management much more complex. Furthermore, we needed to create a dedicated production and shipping system to support this change. The sense of accomplishment when we successfully launched mass production after repeatedly discussing and resolving each issue with related departments in a race against time was immense, and it remains a source of pride and confidence for me to this day.

What's the atmosphere and interpersonal relationships like at your workplace?

It's a friendly workplace with many kind and responsible people who naturally support each other. There's a culture of mutual support, where people not only focus on their own work but also care about the burdens of their colleagues, so you can work with peace of mind.

What do you feel are the essential or important elements required for your current job?

What's important is not leaving things you don't understand unresolved, but instead going to the site to confirm things. By working closely with those around you and sharing information, you can improve the accuracy of production planning and ordering, and respond quickly to unexpected situations.
